We depend on volunteers to organize and run our fund-raising activities. Your time and enthusiasm are important. There are many ways in which you can contribute whether with specific skills or by your presence and effort. The rewards of volunteering include job satisfaction from contributing to a worthwhile cause, working in an international environment, and professional and personal development opportunities to add to your resume.
Director vacancies We are currently seeking candidates for Directors on the Management Board. These are voluntary positions. The Administration Director and Finance Directors will complete their terms this summer. The Administration Director is responsible for coordinating administration tasks and office duties. The Finance Director is responsible for approving all financial transactions, following budget guidelines and ensuring complete transparency. These positions require bi-lingual fluency. The Events and Activities Director will leave Japan in July. The Events and Activities Director is responsible for ensuring flow of information regarding activities for RIJ, that guidelines are followed, reports received and distributed and avoiding conflict of timing with events. The time required for these roles would be approximately 10 hours per week, and be available for the bi-monthly Board meetings.
Internships We offer internships to students studying related topics or with an interest in conflict and displacement issues.
