RIJ Students, let’s start a new semester with a good news!

Japan has announced a grant of $ 6 million for UNHCR’s refugee program in Pakistan. The largest portion of this money will be used in improving health services which many of Afghan refugees in the country are in need of .

This money will be spent on not only health services but also legal aid and education services so that some 1.6 million Afghan refugees can get benefited.

Japanese ambassador to Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata emphasized the importance of meeting basic human needs for the Afghan refugees, saying that “assistance to these refugees will help alleviate the burden of host communities in Pakistan, thereby promoting stability of the country.”

So, RIJ Students! Check this out and I hope this works as a good opportunity for the condition of Afghan refugees in Pakistan getting improved.
