Number of displaced in CAR doubles

The situation in the Central African Republic (CAR) is worsening with the number of internally displaced people doubling to 935,000 in one month since December . The conflict which began in March 2013 has seen 200,000 people displaced in just 10 days. There are now 510,000 people homeless in the capital Bangui – that equals half the population of the city. 60% of the displaced are children.
